HOW MANY SESSIONS WILL I NEED?
Most issues can be resolved in a few sessions. Some clients have had been satisfied with 2 sessions, and others have continued to discover more levels of healing over an extended number of sessions. This a personal choice.
I have observed that a minimum of 3 sessions, provides a good foundation for healing, and therefore have given a deep discount to those who choose 3.
WHAT IS HYPNOSIS?
Hypnosis gently guides you to a state of trance, which feels like relaxation.
Trance is a normal state of your consciousness. When you have a daydream, you are in a trance state.
Therapeutic Hypnosis may be powerful, because the critical conscious part of your mind relaxes, so that the subconscious part can come to the forefront, if you choose.
The subconscious part of your mind is the place of possibilities. In this part of your mind, you may access insights regarding your innate health, feel inner strength, and a return of well being.

Hypnosis may be helpful for Children and Adults to address:
- anxiety

- a desire to change behaviors
- spiritual support
- spiritual awakening
- assist in weight loss

- insomnia
- pain management
WHAT IS YOUR TRAINING?
I have a background as a Registered Nurse, with a passion for healing and wholeness. My experience in Western Medicine, taught me what healing, in my opinion, is not, and I am grateful for this wisdom.
My practice as a Hypnotherapist has been enriched by my experience as a Registered Nurse. I bring with me to my practice, astute assessment skills, a commitment to unconditional positive regard, and a high ethical standard.
My great fortune of studying with Dawson Church PHD., elevated my skills to work with complex post traumatic stress. The use of enhanced Emotional Freedom Technique, along with Therapeutic Hypnosis weaves a cocoon of support that creates a reliable structure to the healing work.
Every person I have worked with as a nurse, or as therapist, has trauma.
This shared human experience, deserves healing, and unconditional compassion.
What can I expect during a hypnosis session with Mary Peterson
My experience has been that most people are focused on what is wrong with them.
So to begin;
What if this is about what is right with you?
Self criticism presents a very narrow view. Focusing what is wrong presents very little healing potential.
To create the potential for healing, we will do some tapping together.
This simple tapping on acupuncture end points, will gently release tension and remove blocks to receiving healing, if that is your intention.
Then using guided imagery you are invited to allow more relaxation and ease into your mind and body. You will be guided to the experience of releasing what is false, learning what is true, according to your highest inner wisdom, to know yourself, often for the first time. Then you will have access your inner resource of well being, that you can use in very practical ways.
For example; shifting an old behavior of being too afraid to speak up for yourself, to realizing that you just did, and it was natural for you.
Each person has unique insights to discover.
